Location: Northern Zone<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the digital age, youth are immersed in an interconnected world that offers countless opportunities and challenges. In Costa Rica, like in other parts of the world, youth between the ages of 13 and 17 are digital natives who use technology daily to learn, communicate, and socialize.<\/p>\n

Despite the benefits that technology brings to their lives, they also face significant risks, such as cybersecurity and cyberbullying.<\/p>\n

Cybersecurity has become a growing concern, as youth share personal information online and may sometimes be vulnerable to cyber threats. Additionally, cyberbullying, which includes online harassment, defamation, and other harmful behaviors, is an issue that can deeply affect the mental health and well-being of teenagers.<\/p>\n

Aware of the importance of empowering youth and providing them with the necessary skills to protect themselves online, we are working on a cybersecurity and cyberbullying training project aimed at youth in the northern zone of Costa Rica.<\/p>\n

This project, in partnership with T\u00e9ikiq, the ICT Innovation Cluster of Costa Rica in the Northern Zone, aims to provide teenagers with the necessary tools to navigate safely in the digital world, recognizing threats and promoting a positive and respectful online environment.<\/p>\n

The training workshops, lasting 3 hours per educational institution, will address fundamental concepts of cybersecurity, how to recognize and prevent online threats, and strategies to deal with cyberbullying and promote careers in ICT.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
